Jennifer Lavoie

Jennifer is a PhD student in Human Development in the Department of Educational and Counselling Psychology at McGill University. Her research focuses on the developmental changes in children’s use of deception from early childhood to adolescence. This work explores the factors that differentiate between children’s use of lying as a normative part of development and lying that is suggestive of a larger behavioural concern. Another related area of study is children’s information-sharing preferences and on applied methods of increasing children’s honest disclosures.
